Rim Asian Bistro: Exquisite Thai Seafood Experience in Reno

From the front of the house to our server, this place is top notch!! The food was delicious and my friends with gluten intolerance were so thrilled with all the options! Definitely will be back!

Came here again a week ago. Price was 2 dollars more but does not matter. Still such an amazing value. SAME EXPERIENCE, amazing service but this time from a new sushi chef carlos. He did an outstanding job, even with multiple groups shouting orders to him. Again, as my last review stated, I will always think of this spot as a must do dinner whenever I'm in Reno.btw I am a private sushi chef in mammoth and now in tahoe. And I approve of rim bistro.

If you're staying at the Grand Sierra Resort, this is the place to eat. We've been at the hotel for a few conventions, and this is where we always end up. We walk around and see which other places there are to eat and then we head to Rim. Very nice atmosphere. The workers from a bus boy up to their general manager are all friendly and efficient. They have a bar up front by their hostess desk, a regular restaurant seating area, and a generous overflow just across from the front entrance. They have a simple but extensive menu with appetizers, entrees, sushi and tempura selections, sides, desserts, and plenty of drinks. My go to for dinner is their Sweet and Sour Chicken. Served with a generous helping of steamed rice. Very good serving size and full of flavor. I usually get some of it to go for another meal later. My wife usually gets one of their noodle salads. The last couple of visits we were helped by Monica who did a fantastic job of helping our parties of 3 and then of 5. Can't go wrong with Rim on your next visit to GSR.

Not my initial choice to round out our two week "Asian invasion", but a reliable friend vouches for them. So here we are and btw, the friend was correct. We called and made reservations a week ago. Once we arrived I realized we were here three years ago before a Doughtry concert. One of the best meals we've had in Reno. No surprise that today was exceptional. Mrs. E.'s favourite dish is the Garlic Green beans. Couple that with the Chicken with Spicy Garlic sauce, she's sleeping in the other room tonight. I insist on the Roasted Peking Duck with the Hoisin. The Edamame is good, the baked mussels are much better. I'm no expert on Mongolian, but I feel this is the best tasting we've had in the area. While Rim Asian Bistro may seem pricy, the flavours, presentation and all around experience justify the expense. 01/25

I haven't eaten here in a couple years because of past experience but tonight was fantastic! Our waiter Alexander was awesome and super fun! Food was all very good and everyone loved their meal. Only hiccup was our entrees came before our appetizers which has happened in the past but Alexander handled it by offering us dessert for the mess up. If you are headed in ask for Alexander as a sever. He's very knowledgeable on the menu which was super helpful!

I made reservations using Open Table and we were seated promptly upon our arrival. The ambiance was fine. Nothing extraordinary as we were seated in the area that is not part of their main dining room. It was still pleasant and nothing to complain about. Our waitress was very nice and engaging which is always refreshing to have a server who is happy and good at their job. She was helpful with explaining and answering our questions regarding our sushi selections. We also ordered the sampler appetizer to start with and it was great. It came out quickly and it was piping hot with a tasty dipping sauce. We ordered several sushi rolls to share and we were not disappointed. I would totally return again.

2/14/2024- Back again for the Valentine's Day special.. Made reservations last week .. Arrived at 5 pm.. (not sure why the first seating is a table vs. booth).. so I asked if we could have a booth.. The menu special was perfect.. Not too heavy, and the plates came out timely.. Definitely would do this again.. Service was good..
